What we process
Photos of your space. When you create a design from your own photo, the photo is sent over an encrypted connection to our design service, together with your choices (space, style, colours). It is processed by an AI model from OpenAI, which makes the redesigned image. Before the first design the app asks for your agreement. Location and other metadata are removed first. We keep the photo and the generated design for up to 90 days to check and improve the service, then they are deleted automatically. Designs made from the app's sample photos never leave your phone.
Device identifier. The app creates a random identifier and stores it in the device keychain (it can survive reinstalling the app). It connects your designs, problem reports and daily usage data, applies the daily limit and lets us count active devices. It is not your name, e-mail, Apple Account or advertising identifier.
Design results. For each design we keep the AI answer (title, description, colours, materials), processing time and any error, with the device identifier, for up to 90 days.
Usage data. Once a day the app sends app version, region, language and whether a subscription is active. When the subscription screen is shown, the app records that it was shown and whether a purchase was started, completed or cancelled (with the plan and region). We use this to count users and improve the app; it is deleted 90 days after you last used the app.
Problem reports. If you report a problem with a design, we receive the reason, your optional comment and, only if you switch it on, your photo. Reports are kept for up to 90 days.
Support e-mails. If you contact support, we receive your e-mail address and message and keep them as long as needed to answer.
On your phone. Your designs and their photos are stored on your device. Saving a design to your photo library only adds that image; the app does not read your library except the photo you choose.
Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. Each design from your own photo is sent with your subscription's transaction record from the App Store (its identifiers, plan, price and currency, App Store country and dates as signed by Apple; not your Apple Account, name or e-mail), so that our server can confirm the subscription and count the designs of a free trial, and the daily fair-use limit, once over all your devices; during a free trial the app also sends its identifier when it checks how many trial designs are left. We keep this count for 90 days. From Apple our server receives a notice of each subscription event (trial started, renewal, change of plan, cancellation, refund) with the transaction identifiers, the plan, the price and currency and the App Store country; it contains no name, e-mail address or Apple Account, and we keep it for 90 days (a record of a refund or revocation until shortly after the refunded subscription period would have ended).
Who can see it
The developer can look at photos, designs and reports to check quality and answer support requests; access is password-protected. Photos are processed by OpenAI on our behalf. Our server is run by a hosting provider in the United Kingdom; the AI step runs on a computer operated by the developer, which fetches each photo from our server over an encrypted connection and does not keep it.
What we do not do
No account, no advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no sale of data.
Your choices
Settings → Delete all designs on this phone removes your designs from the device. Removing the app deletes the data on your phone except what the keychain keeps: the identifier. Data on our server is deleted automatically after the periods above; to have it deleted earlier, write to us.
